Actian is in the enterprise data and AI world, which made this Shopify project a little different from the usual DTC build. The product was technical, the sales motion was considered, and the store needed to feel clear without flattening what Actian actually sells.

For the Actian Shopify store, I worked across product pages, pricing sections, checkout expectations, and sales-support paths. That included work around VectorAI DB, “Talk to Sales” messaging, contact flows, legal/terms acceptance, and the kind of Shopify Plus details that become important when the product is more enterprise software than impulse purchase.

This was also one of the projects where AI became part of my everyday development process in a real way. I used ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Shopify Sidekick less like magic buttons and more like a second set of eyes: comparing section structures, tightening copy, debugging Liquid/CSS, checking edge cases, and thinking through Shopify Flow logic before touching production.

Shopify Sidekick was especially useful for thinking through Flow behavior — order notifications, internal expectations, and the little automation details that marketing and sales teams actually feel. ChatGPT and Claude helped me move faster through implementation options, while Gemini was useful as another sanity check when I wanted to compare the same problem from a different angle.

The end result was a Shopify build that still felt like Actian: technical, direct, and conversion-minded, but a lot easier for a buyer to understand.
