A Printify product is available from the print provider, but Shopify shows every variant as Sold out. Increasing inventory manually may not help, and enabling “Continue selling when out of stock” only hides the underlying location problem.
The likely cause
Shopify inventory is location-specific. A product can have positive inventory at one location while the Online Store expects it at another. With print-on-demand apps, the variant’s Stocked at assignment can become disconnected from the app location.
Confirmed Community fix
Community users corrected the Stocked at assignment through bulk edit. Another confirmed workaround was to temporarily remove Printify as the stocking location, save, refresh, and then assign it back.
Check the variant location
- Go to Products and open an affected product.
- Open a variant.
- Review Inventory will be stocked at.
- Confirm the correct Printify app location is assigned.
Bulk-edit affected products
- Go to Products.
- Select the affected products and click Bulk edit.
- Add the inventory or Stocked at column.
- Correct the location assignment and save.
Check shipping profiles
- Go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.
- Open the relevant shipping profile.
- Confirm the Printify location is in an active location group with rates for the destination.
