Shopify Dude Fix

Why Does Shopify Say Shipping Isn’t Available for This Address?

Shopify checkout says shipping isn’t available? Check active Markets, shipping profiles, zones, product assignments, locations, weights, and rate conditions.

Quick answer: Shopify shows shipping is not available when no shipping rate can cover the customer address and every physical item in the cart. Check Markets, shipping zones, product profiles, fulfillment locations, and rate conditions.

The real symptom

A valid address returns no delivery options even though a merchant believes the store ships there or sees a flat rate configured in admin.

Likely causes

  • Destination country is not in an active Market.
  • Shipping zone does not include the country or region.
  • A product is assigned to a custom profile without a matching rate.
  • The stocking location is not in a rate-bearing fulfillment group.
  • Price or weight conditions exclude the cart.
  • A fulfillment app created its own profile or location.

Confirmed Community fix

Community answers resolve this by tracing the cart back to its actual shipping profile and location. A General profile rate does not apply to products assigned to another profile.

Exact admin path

  1. Go to Settings → Markets and confirm destination country is active.
  2. Go to Settings → Shipping and delivery.
  3. Open General and custom shipping profiles.
  4. Confirm the destination zone and at least one applicable rate.
  5. Review price or weight conditions.
  6. Review fulfillment locations in the profile.
  7. Open each test product and verify profile, location, physical-product setting, and weight.

Simple checks

Test one product at a time. The product that makes rates disappear usually belongs to the profile or location with the gap.

Do not do this

Do not keep adding duplicate flat rates to the General profile before identifying which profile owns the failing product.
